Dear Woods Road Families,
The 2015-2016 school year has come to a close. At this time, I am reminded of what a wonderful year of learning this has been! The children have grown in their academic skills, made new friends, and created fond memories that I hope will be with them for a lifetime.
On behalf of the teaching and support staff of Woods Road School, I would like to thank the parents and guardians for their continued support in their child’s efforts.
The staff has done an excellent job of supporting the school’s students, parents, and guardians. I am enormously proud of all the accomplishments made by the students and staff members during this school year. This continued support is instrumental in the success of Woods Road School.
I would like to extend a special thank you to our energetic and supportive school and home association (WRSHA). Without their dedication and commitment, many student activities and opportunities would not have been possible. Also, I would like to thank all the volunteers who have helped us in many ways throughout the year.
On June 14, the school celebrated Flag Day with our annual ceremony. The celebration concluded with a Character Education Program assembly, the last pillar, Citizenship. Along with the Flag Day celebration, other special events took place during the month of June, including WRS Field Day, Fourth Grade Day, as well as a special “Wildcat Memories” end of the year DVD presentation, created by Mrs. Margaret Rothblatt. Thank you, Mrs. Rothblatt for making this a wonderful school tradition.
Finally, I would like to extend my best wishes to all of the school’s graduating fourth-grade students who are now moving up to Auten Road Intermediate School. Good luck! Please continue to make us proud, and always remember, “Show character each day, it’s the Wildcat way”!
Have a wonderful, restful, and safe summer.
