PICTO Night With Basket Raffle, Pre-Registration Extended to Feb. 27th:  Pre-Registration for PICTO night at the Hillsborough High School cafeteria on Friday, March 17th (snow date March 31st) has been extended one week to Feb 27th!  Don't miss out on this fun night of Picture Bingo and basket raffles!  Complete pre-registration via community pass by Feb 27th.  Pre-registration is required (no on-site sign up), and only snacks will be sold the day of event.  Please see flyer for more information. 

Read Across America Week, 2/27-3/3:  
Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading.  March 2nd is the birthday of the beloved children's author, Dr. Seuss! Please help your children participate in our Seuss dress-up days!

Wear as many different colors as possible (My Many Colored Days)

Carnation Sales, Due March 1:  WRSHA is selling green carnations for St Patrick's Day in support of the 4th grade class party.  Parents  - send a carnation to your child from you or other family member!  Students -send carnations to teachers, staff, and friends!   Complete attached form by March 1.  Carnations will be delivered to students in school on March 17th.

2016-2017 Woods Road School Yearbook, Orders Due March 5th: Order Your Copy Now!!! The Yearbook is a great memory for every student as all grade levels are included in the book!!  Price: $20.00. Please order online at (online ordering preferred).  If you can’t order online, you may make checks payable to: WRSHA (include your phone number). Orders must be placed by March 5th.

Book Fair Coin Challenge, 3/6-3/10: 
Join us in our annual Coin Challenge!  Every cent raised will help us buy books for your child’s classroom libraries and Ms. Howe’s Birthday Book collection. The class with the highest total collected wins 20 minutes of extra recess!  Also, for every dollar we raise, Scholastic donates 1 book to a charity!  Last year our top 5 classes were Ms. Kingkiner, Mrs. Wohlt, Ms. Miele, Ms. Honigman and Mrs. Barrios…will YOUR class win this year?
3/6 – MIX-IT UP MONDAY---PENNIES (wear mismatched clothes)
NICKLES (wear your favorite socks)
DIMES (wear PJ’s to school)
QUARTERS (wear camo or camping gear)

WRSHA General Meeting, March 7th:
Save the Date!  The fourth WRSHA General Meeting of this school year is scheduled for Tuesday, March 7th at 7p.m. in the school library. This is your opportunity to speak with WRSHA and Ms. Howe about how to help shape WRS activities, and to provide insight on how we can help you and enhance your child's school experience throughout the year.  

Book Fair, 3/14-3/17: Our Book Fair will be held at WRS Library from March 14-17, (evening hours Tues. 3/14 and Wed. 3/15 from 5-7 pm).  Your child will visit with their class on the day/time indicated on this schedule. We need volunteers to help during the fair: visit this Sign-Up Genius link to pick a slot(s) to volunteer. If you would like your child to make a purchase at the Book Fair, please send him/her into school, on or before the day they are scheduled to visit, with cash or a check (made out to 'WRSHA').  You are also welcome to come and shop with your child during their scheduled time or on-line from 3/6-20.  Click here for more details.   

Family Art Night; May 18:
 Save the date for Family Art Extravaganza Thursday, May 18th 7pm-9pm!  This year Mrs. Banker has decided to combine Family Art Night and WRS School Wide Art show into one fun event.  There will be art activities in the all purpose room as well as artwork from EVERY STUDENT in the school displayed in the halls. Family and Friends all welcome; kids must have an adult with them.  Mrs. Banker will be collecting LARGE lids, such as this, to fill will with model magic and use beads for a mosaic station in the APR.  Please start saving similar lids of wet ones wipes or larger (nothing used for any products containing nuts) and send in with your child.  I will have a large bin outside the art studio to collect the items.  Thank you for your help.  

YAD Shadow Needed: WRSHA is looking for committee chair volunteers to help run and organize next year's 2018 Young Author's Day event.  This year's committee chairs, Edith Pisciotta & Eileen Falk, are already gearing up for YAD 2017.  We are looking for an individual to shadow Edith & Eileen for their knowledge and expertise at the YAD June 2017 event.  If interested, please contact Ami Capizzano (
