WRS Week of Respect

WRS Week of Respect
Posted on 10/03/2017

School districts are directed to observe the week by providing age-appropriate instruction focusing on preventing harassment, intimidation, or bullying. During Morning Meeting, all classes will include messages and talks around respect.  Being that our building follows the Responsive Classroom philosophy, we are always modeling respect and acceptance.   Woods Road School will be celebrating "Week of Respect" as follows:

Tuesday-”Respect Yourself” I’m Special! Please wear something to school that is special to you, (examples: a favorite shirt, a special hairstyle, cool socks, etc.). Students will be given time in class to share things during Morning Meeting that make them special and unique as people.

Wednesday-“Respect Others” Being a Good Friend is No Sweat! Please wear sweatpants to school. Students will be encouraged to sit with a new friend at lunch, invite someone new into their group, or play with a new buddy at recess.

Thursday-"Think Pink Day!" Wear Pink!

Friday-"Remembering to Use Respect Each and Every Day." Please wear Woods Road Spirit Wear to show we are constantly working to follow our school rules.
